I work as both a music school drum instructor and a private teacher based in Leipzig-Leutzsch. Over the past twelve years, I have received a Master’s degree in Music, collected experience playing in various groups in the Jazz/Rock/Pop genre and taught students of all ages and skill levels. What I have learned is that every student has their own unique goals and needs, and that my role a teacher is to identify and address those in a way that’s both fun and engaging; progress follows almost as a happy by-product.

Here are some examples of exercises and transcriptions I use in my teaching. Around half of the songs I transcribe are individually requested, and I design exercises specifically for the needs of students while also incorporating established books like Stick Control, Wilcoxon & Pratt, The Art of Bop Drumming or New Breed to strengthen fundamentals.
